Valdosta - A Valdosta woman is receiving charges three months after killing an elderly man when running a red light.

20 year-old Mary Linahan is charged with second degree vehicular homicide, disobeying a traffic device, minor in possession of alcohol, and possession of an open containor.

On May 23rd, Linahan ran a red light at the corner of Country Club Drive and North Valdosta Road.

She hit and killed 92 year-old James Carroll.

Police say they were waiting to process all the evidence before officially charging Linahan.
