Lee County--Chehaw Park managers are still debating what to do about special events that include alcohol.

Executive director Doug Porter planned to ask Lee County commissioners tonight to issue an annual alcohol license and waive the fee.

Now, he says needs to meet with the county attorney and review the county's ordinances first.

In the past, Chehaw has gotten a temporary permit from the city of Albany to host events that include alcohol.

They recently realized the area where alcohol is served is actually in Lee County, and the county doesn't issue temporary permits.
