Valdosta - Georgia head coach Mark Richt is faced with a very unusual dilemna of picking a starting quarterback from four qualified candidates.
But Richt isn't the only college coach that has a four man battle to be his starting quarterback.
Valdosta State head coach Chris Hatcher also has to pick a starting quarterback from four very good players.
When the Blazers opened camp with three quarterbacks, Barrett Wilkes, Clay Callaway and Allen Tillman, were ready to battle for the right to start the season opener at Albany State.
But Willie Copeland, who started at Fort Valley State last year and transferred to VSU after the Wildcats changed coaches, has emerged as fourth candidate for the job.
Hatcher is hoping a weekend scrimmage will help him unscramble the picture.
Chris Hatcher said "We will let the battles go on through the weekend and a week and a half or so before we play Albany State we will decide on our starters and backups."
Valdosta State fan day is week from Saturday on August 26th.
