Homerville- A civil rights group plans to protest the jailing of a former Clinch County Commissioner.

The Southern Christian Leadership Conference will march Saturday in Homerville on behalf of Rhonda Cross-Scott.

In June, she pleaded guilty to three counts of false registration.  Prosecutes say she listed her address in Clinch County during her 2000 bid for county commissioner, but she actually lived in Valdosta

She was banned from Clinch County, given 10 years probation, a 5,000 dollar fine, and a 90-day jail sentence.  The SCLC says Cross-Scott was given a harsher sentence in retaliation for her role in exposing the Clinch County Sheriff for charging inmates $18.00 a day to stay in the jail.
