Thomasville- Two Thomasville Police officers are moving up in the ranks. A ceremony was held Monday at City Hall to promote Sergeant Rachelle Denmark to Lieutenant and Officer Noah Morrison to Sergeant. Because Thomasville is a smaller police agency, promotions are difficult to achieve.
"We're a 60 person police department, sworn officers, and there are just so many numbers of supervisory positions, so when they do become available they become extremely competitive," said Chief David Huckstep, Thomasville Police.
This is the second time this year officers were promoted.
