Albany --A plan to keep an eye on red light runners that was put on hold by the city of Albany is now back on.
The city engineering department is installing two cameras at the intersection of Pine Avenue and Jefferson Street. They should be finished next week.
Workers will then begin training to use the red light camera computer software. The cameras will take pictures of people going through the intersection.
The city can mail tickets to the owners of cars caught running red lights.
Once the system is up and running, police will issue warnings for 30-days. After that time red light runners will get tickets.
