Thomas County -- A year long moratorium on construction in Thomas County was lifted in May and once again building projects are booming.

A proposed subdivision behind the new county schools could bring as many as 903 new residential units capable of housing 2,400 people.

The county's building and planning department says new construction has returned to the pace before the moratorium.
