Albany --  Albany Technical College is suspended again from giving the GED test because a student was caught cheating.

A student from the Youth Opportunity program was caught with a list of possible essay questions that appear on the test. The Albany Tech proctor turned him in and notified the state Adult Literacy Division.

There was a similar incident two years ago when two Turner Job Corps students were caught cheating on the GED exam at Albany Tech.  In that incident, the school was suspended from giving the test for a month.

About one thousand people a year take the GED exam at Albany Tech.
