Albany - A driver going the wrong way on a busy Albany road, crashed head-on into another car. Albany police say the driver of this Nissan pickup truck, 41-year old Glen Corbett of Albany, was Southbound on Palmyra Road in the Northbound lane when he collided with this white Toyota, driven by 77-year old Ruth Henderson of Albany. Both drivers, as well as a passenger in Henderson's car, 58-year old Joann Graham of Albany, were taken to Palmyra hospital for injuries.
Corbett had to be cut out of the vehicle. He is undergoing testing at Palymra. Henderson fractured her hip and wrist in the wreck. Graham only received superficial lacerations on her face.
Richard King was driving the Oldsmobile that ended up in between the two wrecked vehicles. He says, "I'm lucky. I was really blessed. You don't expect something like that on Palmyra Road. You're doing 30, 40 miles per hour, and all the sudden you have a wreck like this. How could that happen?"
Police don't know why the pickup driver was in the wrong lane.
