Thomasville-  Just like students and teachers, Thomasville Police are getting ready to go back to school.  Thomasville School Resource Officers held a back to school rally Friday at the Weston YMCA.  It was a chance for resource officers to reconnect with kids and show them school can be fun if it's a safe place.

"We've been going through our schools, making sure we have everything, on campus is safe and together, like we have adequate lighting, our parking lots are safe, we've also been getting an emergency response plan together," said Sgt. Rachelle Denmark, Thomasville Police.

Friday, students were treated to basketball and snacks, including pizza and hot dogs.
