Leesburg -- A Lee County woman charged with a fatal DUI hit and run pleaded not guilty Tuesday.
27 year old Christina Purvis is charged with hitting and killing 39-year old Stephen Collins as he walked along U.S. 19 South in Lee County in November. Collins body wasn't found until the next morning.
Investigators traced the Ford Explorer that hit him to Purvis because of a vehicle part found at the scene.
Purvis is charged with first degree vehicular homicide, DUI, and leaving the scene of an accident. Purvis is out of jail on 17-thousand dollars bond.
