Thomas County- A second person is charged in a trailer theft ring that now spans five counties and two states.
The Thomas County Sheriff's office has recovered several more items stolen and resold by Albert Hurst including this boat and several fuel tanks.
Hurst was extradited to Florida where he's charged with one count of grand theft. Hurst's girlfriend was arrested in Thomas County for her role in the thefts.
"We also made an arrest on Mr. Hurst's girlfriend Buffy Reeves. We have information that she was with him at the time that he disposed of those properties," said Inv. Tim Watkins, Thomas Co. Sheriff's Office.
Reeves is charged with theft by receiving and theft by conversion. Hurst has theft charges pending in five counties including Thomas, Grady, Lowndes, Colquitt, and Leon County Florida. Police encourage anyone who has had contact with Albert Hurst to contact their local police department. Police are not charging anyone who bought stolen merchandise from Hurst.
