Albany -- An area office supply store gets an A-plus according to some local teachers.

Staples in Albany gave away about 200 goody bags full of coupons and other free school supplies to teachers. Teacher Appreciation Day happens once a year at Staples just in time for the school year.  It helps teachers out financially.

Those who came also got the chance to sign up for a Staples card that will give them other discounts at the store throughout the school year. Teachers say it's a great deal."We get an opportunity to come in and get a lot of things we need for our classroom, without having to spend our own money. It's a great value, it's a great value because you can get supplies, you can get everything you need for your kids, and they can start the year off right," said Dougherty County teacher Kay Eady.

For those teachers who did not make it to Teacher Appreciation Day this time, you can still go to Staples and sign up for the free discount card.
