Albany -- Albany Police will use sketches of an armed robber and his accomplice, who attacked Albany's city attorney, to launch their Crimestoppers hotline.    The sketches were made by a GBI crime artist with the help of Albany City Attorney Nathan Davis and other witnesses.

Tuesday night, an armed man accosted and chased Davis at his Lake Park neighborhood home. This is the sketch made of him. This is the sketch of his accomplice, who drove the get away car.

Albany Police will make this their first featured case as they restart their Crimestoppers citizens' tip line.  Anyone with information on that crime or any crime in Dougherty County can call Crimestoppers.

"You don't have to leave your name. And you can be eligible for a reward of up to one thousand dollars," said APD Lt. Darryl Kennedy.

Kennedy says all law enforcement in the county will work with Crimestoppers including the school police, Albany State police, and MCLB Military Police.    The Crime Stoppers hot line is 436-TIPS, or 436-8477.
