Thomasville --  The Thomasville Professional Firefighters Association are hoping you won't pass by their boots this weekend. The Firefighters are raising money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Jerry's Kids.

Two years ago Thomasville Fire fighters raised 25-thousand dollars, this year their goal is a little smaller.

"Ten thousand dollars this year if we can, that's what we're shooting for, but whatever we gets good enough, we'll be happy with whatever we get because it's going to be for the kids ultimately," said Chip Hall, Pres. Thomasville Professional Firefighter Assoc.

New city ordinances prohibit firefighter from standing on street corners, so they've chosen several businesses. Friday, firefighters were at Walmart and will be at both Commercial Banks, Harvey's and the Jack Rabbit Foods on West Jackson Saturday.
