Wildcats QB finds home in Albany

July 20, 2006

Albany - The movie the Wizard of Oz gave us the line "There is no place like home."

And South Georgia Wildcats quarterback Julian Reese has certainly found a home in Albany.

Reese started the AF2 season out in Everett Washington.

The problem is that the owner of the Everett team wanted another quarterback and he fired the head coach and was in the process of releasing Reese.

The South Georgia Wildcats desperate for a quarterback made trade for the Indiana State grad and it has been one of the best moves of the season.

In ten games with the Wildcats, Julian Reese has thrown 42 touchdown passes and ran for seven.

Julian Reese said "Coach Foggie and Coach Davis have a good relationship where they had talked and he thought this was a good fit for me to help out the team as well as coach Davis helping me become a better player. "

Julian Reese is leading the AF2 in rushing and last week became just the third active quarterback to reach 500 yard career rushing plateau.
