Albany --  The Dougherty District Attorney is now board chairman of the State's Prosecutors Training Council.

Ken Hodges wants the state to pay off education loans of young lawyers through their service as prosecutors.

"The law firms in Atlanta pay two and three times the salaries we can pay these young prosecutors, and we are doing what we can to recruit and retain them here in Southwest Georgia," said Hodges.

Hodges previously served as the boards' vice chairman.
