Albany - - Some young ladies in our area found a cool way to make some money and donate it to a good cause.
Today was "Sundaes on Sunday" at Phoebe Putney Northwest. Eighteen college-aged ladies participating in this year's Debutante Program held an ice-cream party to raise money for one local agency.
"We're just doing a fundraiser that benefits teh Hospice House. WEehave ice cream and crafts and face painting and everything else to raise money for the hospice house," says participant Callie Hughey.
The Debutante Program is sponsored by the Charity League of Albany.
The group will do more projects like this throughout the year. In December, they will make their debut to society.
