Albany-  The newest exhibit at the Albany Museum of Art features the work of a longtime leader of the arts community in south Georgia.  Arthur Berry founded the Art Department at Albany State University. The Museum of Art is hosting a retrospective exhibition of his artwork.

"The community is very familiar with Arthur Berry the church member, the community person, but they're not so much familiar with the great artist we have here in our midst," said Calandra Jefferson, Museum Services Coordinator.

Southwest Georgia Magazine recently referred to Arthur Berry as "the master among us." The exhibit opens Friday night, July 14th at 7:00 p.m. and will remain on display through September 23rd.
