Albany - A crash on the Liberty Expressway injured three people this morning, including a truck driver who lost several fingers.

Just  before 10 AM, a car was rear-ended by a tractor trailer rig.  Police say the car apparently slammed on brakes in the southbound lane near Procter and Gamble.

The big rig rear-ended the car, then flipped into the ditch. The car flipped over into some trees. Amazingly, everyone survived. But two peole in the car and the truck driver were taken to hospitals. Police say the truck driver lost several fingers.

The wreck backed up traffic for about an hour. No charges have been filed.
