Leesburg-  Starting Tuesday, buying a new home in Lee County will cost you more. In a three to two vote, Lee County Commissioners approved the implementation of an impact fee.

Developers will now be charged up to $2,235 per building project.  Those fees likely will be passed on to buyers to help cover the cost of county services they use.  The fee must be paid when the building permit is issued.
