Cordele-  A vacant Cordele home went up in flames and threatened neighboring properties. 

When firefighters arrived early Wednesday morning, this Oak Avenue home was fully engulfed in flames. The fire scorched treetops overhead and endangered neighbors who had to rush out of their homes. 

"I smelled some smoke early. I told my boyfriend about it, he said it was nothing, so then I went back to sleep and when I woke up I smelled smoke again. I told my boyfriend, then we woke up, then I woke my momma up, the I got my two kids, then we ran out the door."Fredia Glee, Neighbor. 

The Cordele Fire Department has yet to determine what sparked the blaze. Power to the vacant home had recently been turned off.
