July 3, 2006 Valdosta -- Police are looking for any information that may lead to the arrest of a murder suspect. They're looking for 16-year-old Roosevelt Lawrence the Fourth in the shotgun murder of a Valdosta man last week.
They're asking for any tips that may assist capture. Police think he's still in the Valdosta area. "You can remain anonymous," said Valdosta Police Spokesman Capt. Brian Childress. "We accept those types of tips. We're just asking for help. Anybody who knows the whereabouts of this individual, we are asking not to contact him. He is considered armed and dangerous. I can tell you we also suspect he's involved in a gang."
Twenty-four-year-old Mason Harper was found dead in his car last Wednesday on Cranford Street. Police believe Lawrence was involved with this gang-related shooting.
Two other suspects, 18-year old Demario Garrison and 17-year old Justin Hendrix, are in the Lowndes County Jail charged with the murder.
