Bogart - Thomasville's Harris English has played his way into one of the top junior amateur tournaments in the country.
The 16-year old Englishwon a sectional qualifying tournament Tuesday in Athens for the United States Junior Amateur.
English shot rounds of 70 and 72 to win the medalist title with a score of 142 and earn one of only four spots for the U.S. Junior Amateur which will be played July 17-22 in Rancho Sante Fe, California.
Last week, Harris English finished third in the Georgia State Golf Assocation's Junior Tournament and qualified to play for the Georgia squad in sectional matches against South Carolina.
Those matches will be played July 29th and 30th at Atlanta's East Lake Golf Club.
