VSU football will see plenty of airtime this fall

June 27, 2006

Valdosta - The Valdosta State football team will be getting alot of primetime exposure on television this season.

Three of the Blazer games have been moved to Thursday night to accomodate the Gulf South Conference's televison package with Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast and Cox Sports.

VSU's game at Ouachita Bapitst will be played on Thursday September 28th.

The Blazers game at Delta State has been moved up to Thursday October 12th.

And the Peach Basket Classic at West Georgia will be played on Thursday November 9th.

All games will start at eight o'clock eastern time.

All 11 Gulf South Conference teams will appear at least once on television but Valdosta State's three appearances are the most of any school in the league.

The only disadvantage for the Valdosta State football team is that all three Thursday games are on the road which will cut back on their preparation time.

Valdosta State opens the season on the road September 2nd at Albany State.
