Thomasville-  A Thomasville police officer who admitted to sexually assaulting a woman in his custody last year has his day in court.

A GBI Investigation last July revealed Officer Tony Entriken forced a 38 year old woman in his custody to perform a sexual act.  Entriken was charged with one count of sexual assault of a person in custody and one count of violation of oath of office. Friday, he received his sentence.

"He received three years for his sexual assault charge on a person in custody, and he received five years for the violation of oath of office. He'll serve, he was sentenced to eight years, but he'll serve a total of six with two of the eight years on probation," said Sgt. Rachelle Denmark, Thomasville Police Department.

In the courtroom Friday, Entriken expressed remorse for his actions. Entriken then collapsed after the verdict was read. He was taken to Archbold Memorial Hospital for treatment.
