Tallahassee, FL- Two of the six Tallahassee Correctional Officers charged in a sex for contraband case are from Thomas County.
Alfred Barnes of Metcalf and E. Lavon Spense of Thomasville are charged with conspiracy to commit bribery, witness tampering, mail fraud, and interstate transportation in aid of racketeering.
The indictment alleges the guards used their official positions at the Federal Correctional Institution in Tallahassee to have sex with and bribe female inmates.
Barnes and Spense were not part of the shot out yesterday that ended with one of the indicted guards and a FBI agent shot and killed.
