Albany - The plaintiffs in the civil case against Lawrence Roberts called their last witness Wednesday afternoon. The defense is expected to open their case either late this afternoon or tomorrow morning. That will allow for Robert's attorney to address issues and present evidence in the case of an apparent check mix-up.
The plaintiffs say Roberts cashed a check for a real estate deal when he wasn't supposed to. The defense says Roberts was issued the check during the closing and that the money is his.
