Albany - Next Wednesday, the Department of Labor is holding a statewide job fair detailing hundreds of work opportunities across Georgia. The best part is you don't have to leave home to find a good job.

WALB-TV will televise the job fair, in association with host Georgia Public Television. Job Fair 2006 will focus on finding jobs for workers who've been laid-off in plant closures and for military veterans who've just come home from overseas. And some of the job openings are in southwest Georgia.

Career experts, including Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond, will be on hand to answer questions from viewers who call in.

"They have experts who are bilingual. If you have a need for help with a disability, if you need help with something like making a resume, putting together a wardrobe or interviewing, they can help," said WALB-TV General Manager Jim Wilcox.

The job fair will air Wednesday, June 28th from 7:00 PM until 9:00PM here on WALB-TV.
