White coats and beeper duty

June 20, 2006

Albany - Six new Albany doctors got their lab coats and pagers today. They are part of Phoebe Putney's Family Practice Residency program. Phoebe hopes at least 60% of its graduates will stay and work within 60 miles of Albany.

Dr. Sean Bryan, Family Residency Director, says, "We value the fact they've chose Southwest Georgia. There are a lot of places across the county and we really want them to feel at home here in Southwest Georgia."

Phoebe also welcomed Dr. David Taing into the Sports medicine fellowship.  Phoebe has the only fully-accredited primary care sports medicine fellowship in Georgia.
