Albany - A new marker stands in Turtle Park in Albany to pay tribute to those who serve our country. The Garden Club of Albany and the National Garden Clubs dedicated a Blue star memorial to members of the military.
They say it's an important time to recognize troops. Virginia Patten, Garden Club President says, "We wanted to show our respect to those who have served and those who are serving for us today and those young people who will come along and serve through the years to come."
Another marker was dedicated over the weekend. It's in the median on West Broad Avenue.
