Albany -- Albany Firefighters will raise money for Jerry's Kids Saturday while they teach fire safety. For the sixth year, Albany Firefighters will help in the nationwide "Boot Drive" for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Firefighters will have their trucks parked at McDonald's on South Slappey, Sam's Club and Lowe's on Westover Road, and the Winn Dixie on Old Dawson from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Deputy Chief David Eddins said "We're going to have the fire trucks out. We'll be glad to talk to them about fire safety, fire prevention, give out handouts to learn more about fire safety. "

Firefighters will also let kids get a close up look at their fire trucks.
