Thomasville-  Drivers beware, the Thomasville Police Department is cracking down on unlawful motorists.  Starting at six o'clock Friday, officers will be at locations across Thomas County conducting road checks. They hope to remind drivers to obey the rules of the road.

"To wear your seat belt, don't drink and drive, don't do drugs and drive, it's just a good reminder that we should be cognizant of the law at all times," said Sgt. Rachelle Denmark, Thomasville Police Department.

Officers will also be checking for potential warrants, out of date license plates, and child safety seats.
