Valdosta -- Even though there was no damage from Tropical Storm Alberto, it did provide good training for Lowndes County Emergency workers.

With no major accidents and only minor disturbances, the team believes things went up without a hitch.

"We had very little damage. We had some power outages but nothing drastic. We had a couple of houses that had water coming in them but it was from needed roof repairs so it wasn't flooding there. So it was a good scenario," said Lowndes County Interim Emergency Manager Jim Fielding.

The storm also allowed them to zone in on certain areas that may need more work.  Fielding hopes to beef up communication by the next major storm.
