Thomasville-  Storm clouds also rolled in to Thomasville Monday afternoon, prompting the Emergency Management Agency to begin storm preparations.

Gray clouds and the threat of two to three inches of rain with Alberto has the county urging residents to prepare for the potential of severe weather. Residents are encouraged to have their storm kits ready, the county is also checking their supplies.

"Some of our departments are working, on their staff, as far as their call ins to see who is available throughout the next couple of days, other portions of the county departments are working on the generators, to ensure all of those are in place and working," said  Chris Jones, Thomas Co. EMA Director.

Road crews are just days away from completing the emergency road repairs on Cairo Road near 319 and severe rains could quadruple the cost of the project along with causing setbacks.
