A Triple Threat

June 6, 2006

Albany -- Albany State senior Brandon Roulhac has been busy on the track.

Competing in the Division II national track championships, Roulhac finishing second in the triple jump and fourth in the high jump.

He's been named ASU male athlete of the year, and is the 2006 South Regions Men's Field Athlete of the Year, as voted on by the U-S track and field coaches.

The senior looks to continue his track career at the end of the month, by competing in the triple jump in the US outdoor championships.

As part of the long road to the Olympics, Roulhac says the meet could determine his future in track, and he's looking to make a good impression.

"Hopefully just to go there and show up. Let them know I'm there. Not just some dude who made it there and didn't do anything. Go there and let them know who Brandon Roulhac is."

The US Outdoor championships take place the 21st through the 25th in Indianapolis.
