Albany--South Georgia farmers will get to tell U.S. Senators face to face what they think the government needs to do to help them. The first Senate field hearing on the upcoming farm bill will be held in Albany. Congress is working on the 2007 Farm Bill. The Senate has held hearings in Washington but nowhere else. Sen. Saxby Chambliss and several other senators will be at Albany State University on June 23rd for a hearing to discuss what type of farm policy to include in the new bill.
