Albany-  The world's fastest land animals now have a chance to show south Georgians their speed.  Today, The Parks at Chehaw debuted it's new Zoom, Zoom Cheetah Run.

A lure line with a flag has been set up in the Cheetah's enclosure to entice them to run.

"It's a natural thing for Cheetahs to run, for short distances, they're the fastest land animal and to see them sprint across the front of the viewing stand here is quite a sight," said Doug Porter, Exec. Director Parks at Chehaw.

Cheetahs can accelerate from zero to 45 miles per hour in two seconds. The Zoom, Zoom Cheetah run sponsored by Albany Mazda will operate at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. all weekend.
