Tifton -- Improving law enforcement and education -- those are the two cornerstones of Lt. Governor Mark Taylor's campaign for governor.

This year, the General Assembly approved money to give raises to State Troopers, G-B-I agents and corrections officers.

Taylor says the state must to more to improve pay and benefits.

"These men and women are here for us," Taylor said. "In many ways, the state of Georgia hasn't been here for them. I want to change that as Georgia's next governor."

Taylor says as Governor, he would also make Georgia's schools better. He says he would stop cuts to local school system and restore cuts to the HOPE scholarship program.
