Albany-- An Albany Veteran is one man out of one-hundred and fifty, responsible for leading the U.S to victory over Japan in World War Two.
Byron Hale was selected to the special branch of military intelligence during the war, a branch that was instrumental in decoding Japanese transmissions which led to the victory at Midway.
Hale says that military intelligence is the biggest key to victory even in our current War On Terror.
Byron Hale moved to Albany in 1968, and served as a bank president before retirement.
