Thomasville Police are looking for two men who attempted to rob a store, scaring customers and clerks.
Thomas County- A heavily traveled Thomas County road will be closed for the next two weeks. Cairo Road near the 319 bypass is closed. Water from the Boy Scout Pond has been seeping under the roadway washing the foundation under the five lane road away. A dirt pile stands were a pickup truck began to sink. It will take two weeks to repair.
"We're going to go inside the barrels and cut wholes inside the barrels, every ten foot apart, and we're going to pump concrete up under the footers to get up under each side there," said Buddy Osborne, Thomas Co. Construction Supervisor.
While the road is closed motorists are urged to use the 319 truck bypass as a detour.
