Albany - - Downtown Albany was a party scene for a big event. Boogie Nights featured music from the 70's and 80's. People grooved in their retro attire and danced to the hits of that time.
"The point is to have something different in Albany. We really don't have a lot come to Albany too much so we like to give people an alternative and that's the Boogie Nights ball," says organizer Ken Obrien.
The event took place at the Hilton. Some of the money raised from the dance will be donated to the Special Olympics.
