Albany -- Dougherty County High Schools celebrated graduation today at the Albany Civic Center.

A round of applause and some cheers for Monroe High School's class of 2006. More than 150 students walked across the stage and were honored for their achievements. Graduates say it was a proud time to shine.

"It felt good today, it's been a lot time coming. I'm glad I'm about to graduate and go on with more future things, college or the military," said graduate Cheleana Oliver.

Dougherty County, Westover, and Albany High schools also celebrated commencement.
