Valdosta -- A man on the run for stealing boats has been caught in south Georgia.

Thirty-year-old Fred Ray Foley, Junior, was arrested Thursday in Valdosta. The U. S. Marshal's Office got an anonymous tip that Foley was in Valdosta.

He is accused of stealing boats along the south Georgia and north Florida coast. He lived in Savannah but fled when authorities took out arrest warrants for grand theft.

Foley once lived in Valdosta, and authorities suspected he might go there. The Coast Guard is conducting an investigation on Foley, and he could face federal charges.
