Albany -- Albany high school's Jason Blackstock signing on to pitch at the next level today, with the Indians senior inking with ABAC.
The pitcher is the all-time career leader in strike-outs at Albany, passing Josh Jerkins this season.
Stallions head coach Steve Janousek says there will be a lot of openings on his staff this year, and Blackstock will have an opportunity to contribute.
"He's got a really good curveball," says Janousek. "Really impressed with his curveball, and right now I need a lot of pitching. 7 of my 10 pitchers were sophomores, so it'll be an excellent opportunity for him."
Blackwell says, "ABAC, the team and the coach are going to give me the opportuity to keep playing, with a little bit of scholarship money, so I'm going to go down to Tifton."
ABAC finished last year 22 and 32.
