Another Walmart bomb threat

May 14, 2006

Albany - - Here we go again - the second bomb threat in one week at the Walmart in Lee County.

The call came this morning. Customers and employees had to evacuate the store around 10:15. Fire rescue workers arrived as well as safety crews from M-C-L-B. Many customers were shopping to buy some last minute Mother's Day gifts.

"I was in there shopping and everybody started coming to the front lining up outside and told us we had to get out because it was a bomb threat," says Martha Watson.

Employees returned to the store around noon. Walmart officials say the threat was a false alarm. The store went through this same process, when someone called in a bomb threat Friday night.
