Valdosta -- Two South Georgia towns held Medicare Part D Workshops Tuesday.
Members of First District Congressman's Jack Kingston's staff were in Valdosta and Lakeland answering questions and helping people sign-up for Medicare Prescription Drug benefits.
District Director Sheila Elliott says the help Kingston's office is providing will benefit everyone that walks in the door. "They're still confused they are not sure what plans fit their needs. Some don't know that they don't need a prescription drug plan. They have V-A or federal benefits coverage. So it's helping eliminate some of those," Elliott said.
The deadline to sign-up for a Medicare Part D program without penalty is Monday May 15.
