Cook County - State troopers have identified a man killed in a fiery crash on I-75 Tuesday.

Forty-seven year old Michael Hagel of South Pittsburgh , Tennessee died when the tractor trailer he was driving ran off the road and hit a tree. The truck exploded on impact.

The accident happened around 5:45 Tuesday afternoon just south of Exit 41 between Adel and Sparks . Troopers say Hagel showed no signs of braking, and they think he fell asleep.

Both northbound lanes of the Interstate were shut down for about 15 minutes while firefighters put out the fire.
