Cook County - A deadly accident brought traffic to a stand still on Interstate 75 Tuesday afternoon.
Around 5:45, the driver of a tracter trailer rig ran off the side of the road and hit a tree. It happened just South of Exit 41, between Adel and Sparks. The truck exploded on impact and the driver was burned beyond recognition.
"Right now everything's burned up in the fire and we're just trying to get as much information as we can," said David Sellars, State Trooper.
Both north bound lanes of the Interstate were shut down for about 15 minutes while firefighters put out the fire.
