The Lee County Sheriff's Department is now working with the Albany Crime stoppers. The Lee County Sheriff's Department asked to join the Albany Crime-stoppers program. The Sheriff's Department believes it will be a helpful tool in closing some cases.
Albany - The cost of visiting the zoo at the Parks of Chehaw is going up. The Adult admission price is increasing from four to five dollars.
General admission to the park is not going up, and neither is the cost of a child's zoo ticket.
Park officials say the price increase will help offset higher fuel and operating costs which have gone up as the zoo adds more exhibits.
"We brought in the black rhinos, a first time addition. And we've also imported flamingos from Africa. We're trying to make improvements that will justify a higher fee as well," said Doug Porter, Director.
